NEW YORK RANGERS HOST ANNUAL CASINO NIGHT PRESENTED BY EMPIRE CITY CASINOTO BENEFIT THE GARDEN OF DREAMS FOUNDATION

NEW YORK, January 14, 2020 – On Monday, February 17, the New York Rangers will trade in their Blueshirts for tuxedos during their annual Casino Night, presented by Empire City Casino.

This special event, which will be held at Tao Downtown, benefits the Garden of Dreams Foundation. Those in attendance will receive exclusive opportunities throughout this fundraiser, including interactions with Rangers players, coaches, management, and select alumni. Rangers players will deal cards and play alongside guests in several casino-type games, as well as host an online auction featuring one-of-a-kind Rangers experiences and memorabilia to help support the Garden of Dreams Foundation.

Adults in Toyland Casino Night raised over $900,000, its largest year ever, to support programs at the Stephen D. Hassenfeld Children’s Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders (Hassenfeld Center) and the Department of Pediatrics at NYU Langone Medical Center. Held on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at The Plaza Hotel, NBC’s Jeff Rossen served as the night’s emcee.

The event, hosted by the Committee for the Hassenfeld Center and KiDS of NYU Langone, attracted more than 600 New York City professionals from finance, fashion, entertainment, and real estate, among other industries, who are committed to improving the lives of children being treated at NYU Langone and their families.

Co-chairs for “Adults in Toyland Casino Night” were Adi Beltzman, Susan Block Casdin, Michael Corbat, Kate Goodman, Kimberly Goodwin, Morgan Hertzan, Patti Kim, Kelly Kennedy Mack, Harlan Fabrikant Saroken, and Michael Weaver.

Dale Hemmerdinger, Sheila and Bill Lambert, Dylan Lauren, Elizabeth Lindemann, Stephen Mack, Elisabeth Markus, Shyamli and Robert Milam, Darcy Miller Nussbaum, mentalist and magician Oz Pearlman, Ayala and John Podhoretz, Jonathan Schulhof, Edward Skyler, Jamie Tisch, and Lauran Walk.

The festive annual event featured casino games, buffet, cocktails, a DJ, and a silent auction of luxury items guests were invited to bid on, including a VIP set visit to Golden Globe winning drama The Affair, dinner at home cooked by the executive chef from Rao’s, a baseball clinic for kids with NY Yankee legendary pitcher Mariano Rivera, a three-night vacation on the Ferragamo family estate in Tuscany, Italy, and a New York Rangers Jersey signed by the team. A heartfelt video was also shown highlighting the impact past contributions have made in the lives of one family treated at NYU Langone.

Attendees from NYU Langone included Robert I. Grossman, MD, the Saul J. Farber Dean and CEO. Physician co-chairs were William L. Carroll, MD, the Julie and Edward J. Minskoff Professor of Pediatrics, professor of pathology, and director of the Stephen D. Hassenfeld Children’s Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders, and Bret J. Rudy, MD, professor and vice chair, Department of Pediatrics.

Citi served for a second year as presenting sponsor of Adults in Toyland, and Gotham magazine returned for a third year as the media sponsor.
