After four months of competition, Adrien “shakkkiraa” Guyon becomes the 4th ever Top Shark and wins his place in Team Winamax.

From November to January, French players on Winamax have been battling it out in a series of challenges, each more difficult than the last with the aim of discovering the Top Shark 2015, with a 12 month Team Pro contract at stake.

The grind came to a close on Tuesday night after an exciting final challenge in which Adrien “shakkkiraa” Guyon emerged victorious to pick up the much coveted sponsorship. As Top Shark 2015, Adrien joins previous winners Ludovic Riehl (2012) and Guillaume Diaz (2014), who thanks to successful years, have seen their contracts extended.

It’s not by chance that Adrien has landed himself the contract: since first appearing on Winamax in 2010, shakkkiraa has shipped multiple tournament wins including three Winamax Series titles. His daily presence at our tables has been matched by his regular attendance of our live events, particularly the Winamax Poker Open in Dublin, where he won a side-event in 2012, finished 22nd the year afterwards and made a min-cash last year.

The Pros are wasting no time in initiating Adrien to the Team with our Top Shark joining them today for the annual Team seminar in Spa, Belgium. Just one week later we will get our first glimpse of him in action as a Winamax Pro when he takes to the felt at the French stop on the European Poker Tour in Deauville.

As part of Team Winamax, Adrien will travel the pro circuit in the company of the some of Europe’s best players, all the while supervised by the experienced Stephane Matheu. The coach’s expectations for the Top Shark? Furthermore, become part of the Team and work to harmony with the other players as well as the staff he will meet.
